Paul van Dam has deep roots in Utah,
dating back to the 1860s when his
ancestors settled in Salt Lake City from England and the Netherlands. Born and
raised in Salt Lake City, he served a
mission in The Netherlands, where he
later lived for a few months in the late
'90s to brush up on the Dutch he learned
on his mission.
